Chris Redmond
Founder and Artistic Director
Chris Redmond is a writer, musician, producer and front man / host of Tongue Fu shows. A regular at music and literature festivals both nationally and internationally, he’s been featured on BBC Radio 1, 2 and 4, XFM, CBBC and Sky Arts. Chris’s book, Let The Pig Out is published by Burning Eye. As a musician Chris has toured extensively with many bands. In theatre he has worked as accompanist for Improbable, songwriter for ice&fire, sound designer for Cecilia Knapp and most recently musician/performer for comedy tap theatre company, Sole Rebel. He has composed music for EMI/KPM, BBC One, ITV + more.
Musicians
The Tongue Fu band is a rolling collective of the UK’s best improvisers, with exceptional jazz chops and a broad range of musical tastes, from pop to classical, klezma to hip hop. Their collective playing credits include work with Nostalgia 77, Martina Topley-Bird, Beardyman, Jill Scott, Jamie Cullum, Mad Professor, Dizraeli, Massive Attack, Pharell Williams, Puppini Sisters, Ed Sheeran, Scissor Sisters, Goldfrapp, Tinie Tempah, Robert Plant and many more.
Our core players are Riaan Vosloo (bassist, composer, producer), Arthur Lea (keys, horn, vocals), Pat Davey (drums, percussion), Dave O’Brien (keys, bass), and Bel Ehresmann (bass, beatbox, vocals).
The extended musical family includes Jon Cox, Daisy Palmer, Zac Gvirtzman, Seb Hankins, Pete Ibbetson, Dan Moore, Edu Bisognu, Daisy George, Dave Lidell, Nick Etwell, Dave Smith and John Blease.
Liz Counsell

Liz is an experienced Creative Producer specialising in engaging experiences that mix art forms, artist development and accessibility. She has experience of producing both independent artists and large-scale companies. She has produced for Trinity Bristol, Dom Coyote, MAYK and Mayfest, Roundhouse, nabokov, Baz Productions and BBC Radio 1Xtra amongst many others. She is also the founder of Disability Arts Festival - I’m Here, Where Are You?
