January 21st – Animal at The Roundhouse

We’ve made a new show! And we’re road testing it in London this month.
21st Jan – Roundhouse
Animal_OnlineFlyer2

If you had a power animal what would it be? Can we choose or do we just get what we’re given? Why does life seem intent on derailing the versions of ourselves we want the world to see?
Animal is a new spoken-word musical comedy exploring these questions and more. Mythic drum lessons, awkward parties and explosive one-night stands all feature in a show about learning to live with the choices we make and the animals that guide us. It combines storytelling, comedy, live music and graphs.
Directed by Sita Calvert-Ennals and Dramaturgy by Ross Sutherland.

TONGUE FU TAPES VOL 1.  ALBUM LAUNCH

On July 10th 2013 we launched our very first album Tongue Fu Tapes Vol. 1.

It’s a scorching compilation of live highlights from an incredible, as yet unheard archive, recorded over four years at Tongue Fu’s home – East London’s Rich Mix.

The album features Chris Redmond, Soweto Kinch, Kate Tempest, Jonny Fluffypunk, Jacob Sam-La Rose, Femi Martin, Ross Sutherland, Indigo Williams, Zia Ahmed, Joe Dunthorne, Francesca Beard, Anna Freeman, Homecut, Toby Thompson and John Hegley, with pretty gobsmacking accompaniments from the Tongue Fu band.

Needless to say we are very pleased with ourselves!  The music jumps from honky tonk, to dubstep, deep jazz, minimalist beats, tango, hip-hop and so much more.  The CD is available from gigs and soon from this very website.  It is also available on iTunes and Amazon.

LIMINAL ANIMALS – A TONGUE FU ANTHOLOGY

We’re really pleased with our very first anthology called Liminal Animals.  It’s currently only available at gigs but we’re in the process of sorting out an online shop.  Please bear with us while we get this set up.  If you can’t wait till the shop’s up and running or the next gig, please email us.  Thanks
